§ 6-2. Office of building commissioner established.

The mayor shall, with the approval of the city council, select and appoint some person to the office of building commissioner to serve for an indefinite term unless otherwise specified. The building commissioner shall perform all the duties prescribed for such office by this chapter. During all times when no person is lawfully appointed as building commissioner due to death, resignation or otherwise, the mayor of the City of Lebanon shall perform all the duties prescribed for the office of building commissioner by this chapter.
