§ 28-63. Inspections and examinations required to receive license.

  • (a)

    No vehicle shall be licensed under the provisions of this division until it has been thoroughly and carefully inspected and examined by the chief of police and his inspectors and found to be in a thoroughly safe condition for the transportation of passengers, clean, fit, [in] a good appearance and well painted.

    (b)

    The chief of police shall make, or have his inspectors make, the examination and inspection required by subsection (a) before a license shall be issued under the provisions stated in this division.
