§ 24-141. Establishment of district; boundaries.

  • A special business district, be and the same is hereby established under the provisions of RSMo 71.790 to 71.808, within that part of the first railroad addition to the city, described as beginning at the south corner of block 24 of the first railroad addition; thence northwest along the southwest boundaries of blocks 24 and 16 and crossing commercial street to the west corner of lot 19 of block 16; thence northeast along the northwest boundaries of lots 19 and 28 of block 16 and crossing Monroe Avenue to the southwest boundary of block 17; thence northwest along the southwest boundary of block 17 to the west corner thereof; thence northeast along the northwest boundaries of blocks 17 and 18 and crossing Madison Avenue to the west corner of lot 20 of block 18; thence northwest crossing Second Street and along the southwest boundaries of lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of block 13 to the west corner of lot 5; thence northeast along the northwest boundary of lot 5 to the north corner thereof; thence southeast along the northeast boundaries of lots 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 of block 13 and crossing Second Street to the north corner of block 18; thence northeast crossing Jefferson Avenue and along the northwest boundaries of blocks 19 and 20 and crossing Adams Avenue to the west corner of lot 24 of block 20; thence southeast along the southwest boundaries of lots 24, 25, 26 and 27 to the west corner of lot 28; thence northeast along the northwest boundary of lot 28 to the north corner thereof; thence southeast along the northeast boundaries of blocks 20 and 21 and crossing Commercial Street to the east corner of block 21; thence southwest along the southeast boundaries of blocks 21, 22, 23 and 24 and crossing Adams Avenue, Jefferson Avenue, Madison Avenue and Monroe Avenue to the point of beginning, and shall be a body corporate and politic and a political subdivision of the state, and shall be known and described as the Downtown Lebanon Business District.
